Agricola Verticelli is the only world's producer of Peschiole. Unriped peaches, picked before the development of the pit. They are similar to the Italian Olives, but they are quite different in taste. They are an "eureka product" of Salvatore Parente, founder of Agricola Verticelli, who saved a type of un-saleable peaches in this way. The peaches, in the middle of their growing process, suffered the "fruit cracking phenomenon". The fruit cracks splitting itself and becoming, in this way, un-saleable. Salvatore decided to save the other peaches, picking them before the cracking phenomenon and putting them in a sweet and sour solution. Today, they are an international product.
