The Annurca apple, defined “the healty fruit”, is a typical product of Campania (Southern Italy) since Ancient Roman times.. Annurca has a white pulp, firm and crunchy, a sweet aroma, and a pleasantly acidic taste. The apple doesn't ripen on the tree, but it is carefully placed on a structure called “melaio”. Only when it turns red, it can be picked. In this way, it can preserve its nutrionational properties. and its taste. The juice has a turbid yellow colour. The Annurca juice is recommended as breakfast drink, but also as lunch or snack drink. It can be used also in fruit-based cocktails.
